Nomasonto Maswanganyi aka Mshoza. Anyone not familiar with the name needs to listen to her latest release and they'll realise she is both kwaito artist and pantsula extraodinaire.
Bulldawgz Entertainment which brought you young kwaito sensations introduced the country to a female vocalist named Mshoza, bringing you her first album "Bulldawgz 1st lady" Mshoza was dubbed the best kwaito female artist.
Mshoza was first discovered in 1999 on "Jam Alley" (sabc 1) a local variety, she then burst into the scene with her monster hit "Kortes" which dominated charts and airwaves for weeks, with the album selling over gold.
Mshoza then released her sophomore album 2003 titled "Mshoza Bhoza" which spawned hits such as"Ezam' nama ge'am (Piti)" and "uMshoza yi Bhoza" which she worked with Techno P, Gp Gangsters and Oscar Mlangeni,She was approached by Sanlam to create awareness through women's soccer through Sanlam-Bayazenzela, touring with Guffy and Maliaka
Mshoza then was absent from the music scene for almost three years, but announced a change of recording companies she had left Bulldawgz Entertainment and had signed to Ziyawamo production owned by Mzura kuse in 2005, She then relesed her well packaged album "The Return" produced by Bonsai Shongwe bringing you the hits "The Return, Hlaba lingene, Sphiwe" and many other party tracks.
Its been a while since Mshoza released an album, but 2009 she is back with her much anticipated album "Queen of kwaito" featuring the first single "Phelelwe yi-taste" ft Drenko.
Mshoza proves that you can never put a good thing down, there has been a lot of controversy and media attention. She has returned and is making sure she reclaims what she introduced just before the long break. With her own recording label things are looking better for Mshoza ayeye!
